Sin No More?

Think all Christians are anti-gay? Think again.

In fact, the newly elected head of THIS prominent Christian church created quite a stir recently by saying that homosexuality was not a sin, and that gays were created by God to love people of the same gender.

Which church is it?

A. Southern Baptist
B. Reformed Methodist
C. U.S. Episcopal
D. Presbyterian
E. Roman Catholic
F. Four Square

ANSWER
C: Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, newly elected head of the U.S. Episcopal Church, made the remarks on CNN.

“I believe that God creates us with different gifts….some people come into this world with affections ordered toward other people of the same gender.”

Don’t worry, lest you fear that the Christians are growing soft, the other churches all still remain staunchly anti-gay.

We're very proud of +Katherine and look forward to seeing her role as Presiding Bishop evolve. Well, at least I am, anyway.

I think it's great that the U.S. Episcopal church has shown itself to be truly tolerant. While we've read that there are some in the faith who aren't too happy with the church's stance on gays, it sounds like the voices of reason and true Christianity might be a little louder. I wish there were more faiths like yours.
