B: Bob Jones University, which only recently lifted its ban on interracial dating and is seen by many as strongly anti-Catholic — so much so that President Bush once apologized to New York Cardinal John O’Connor after speaking there himself.

Said Bob Jones spokesman Jonathan Pait, “We haven’t changed our position [on Catholicism versus Protestantism] at all…We don’t hate Catholics. We certainly disagree with Catholicism, but I think it’s going a bit far to say it’s anti-Catholic.”
