Jews for Who?

Which Jewish comic recently filed a $2-million lawsuit against Jews for Jesus for using his name and likeness on a recruiting pamphlet that implied he had converted to the Jesus cause?

A. Jerry Seinfeld
B. Jackie Mason
C. Gilbert Gottfried
D. Jerry Lewis

ANSWER
B: Jackie Mason, who took great umbrage to the fact the group handed out pamphlets with his picture next to the words: “Jackie Mason… A Jew for Jesus!?”

“While I have the utmost respect for people who practice the Christian faith, the fact is, as everybody knows, I’m as Jewish as a matzo ball or kosher salami,” Mason said in filing his suit.

A Jews for Jesus spokeswoman, meanwhile, called the pamphlet good-natured, adding (in a quite holier-than-thou matter), “shame on him for getting so upset about this.”
